In this work, the effects of parameters in complementing their interaction effects on nanofluids' output variables in converging and diverging channels have been studied. The mathematical model is solved numerically by using Matlab's built-in solver bvp4c. Global sensitivity analysis (Sobol's method) quantifies the effects of input parameters and their interactions on model outputs. The results showed that the channel opening (α) is the most influential model parameter for the velocity profile. Simultaneously, Eckert number (Ec) becomes the most influential parameter for temperature distribution in diverging and converging channels. The least sensitive parameters and interaction effects of involved parameters are identified on velocity and temperature profiles in converging and diverging channels.
Shahzad Copyright (c) 2024 2024-11-01 2024-11-01 60 1 1 30 The Effect of Magnet Structure on the Cogging Torque Reduction in a Permanent Magnet Generator https://jsju.net/index.php/journal/article/view/7
The cogging torque would still be a constant part of permanent magnet-electric machines. This happens because of the construction in which permanent magnets are attached to the rotor, and a slot is present at the core of the stator. The contact between the two, related to the distance between the magnetic surface and the stator slot, makes it challenging to eliminate the cogging torque. This study aims to maximize cogging torque by reducing it with a new method. The proposed method is a mixture of two techniques that indicate significant promise. This invention mixes two techniques to improve the final results. The first process is called magnetic edge shaping, and the second technique is called a dummy slot on the stator. A fractional slot number (FSN) type with 24 slots and 18 poles is the permanent magnet machine used for this investigation. This work is assisted by software version 4.2 of the Finite Element Magnetic Method (FEMM), which will simulate the original and the proposed design. The proposed method proved to be effective in minimizing the peak value of the cogging torque, as shown by the simulation results of 98% of the initial design. Combining the two techniques may reduce the tangential value of the flux so that the flux leading to the slot is lower than the initial design.
Nur Copyright (c) 2024 2024-11-02 2024-11-02 60 1 31 55 Determinant Factors of Carbon Emission Disclosure in Jordan https://jsju.net/index.php/journal/article/view/8
Currently, environmental issues are being discussed in various countries, including Indonesia. Erratic climate change greatly affects global warming worldwide, one of erratic climate change related to carbon emissions disclosures. However, there are still inconclusive findings regarding factors that determine the extent of carbon emissions disclosure. Based on comprehensive research, the objective of this paper is to examine a few selected factors and their relationship to the extent of carbon emissions disclosure. Green strategy, corporate social responsibility disclosure, good corporate governance, the board of directors, institutional ownership, and financial performance were analyzed to seek any significant relationships to the extent of carbon emissions disclosure. To this end, this study used a modified carbon emissions disclosure measurement from previous studies and a Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure measurement using a combined corporate social responsibilitymatrix from three countries. The study uses a socially defined paradigm as an approach to cultural acculturation and adopts the theory of institutional development acculturation of Islam (almuhaafadhatu ala al-qadiimi al-shaalih wa al-akhdu bi al-jadiidi al-ashlah). This research found five models for acculturation dialogue between religion, local wisdom and power, namely, 1) taggayyur /deculturating /changing, 2) takammul /additive/ perfecting, 3) tahammul /considerate /tolerant, 4) tasallum /inclusive /receptive, and 5) tamsarrub /institutive /absorbing. The first acculturation model tends to reject the other cultures. The second model tends to be open and cross-sectoral in its approach. The third model is tolerant and accepting of all. The fourth model tends to be open and objective in recognizing truth and goodness from outside of itself, an acculturation model that has the potential to create peace and harmony. The fifth model seeks to absorb universal values so that together cultures are institutionalized into a new cultural unity.

Nurhayati Erikh Copyright (c) 2024 2024-11-04 2024-11-04 60 1 81 110 How COVID-19 Quarantine Influenced Online Exam Cheating: A Case of Bangladesh University Students https://jsju.net/index.php/journal/article/view/10
This study aims to identify, through qualitative research, the influence of COVID-19 on student online exam cheating, specifically e-cheating, during the COVID-19 quarantine in Bangladesh university online classes in 2020. The researcher obtained the primary data from 23 undergraduate university students (13 males and ten females) who willingly responded to a semi-structured interview via Messenger Interview. Using grounded theory analysis, the author found that quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic has caused and increased levels of anxiety and stress among students, which, in turn, has promoted e-cheating. The stress and anxiety allow students to justify their unethical behavior in online classes and cheating on online exams. The study results also show several factors that have contributed to online exam cheating. These factors include social pressure, peer pressure, academic pressure, not using software programs that monitor e-cheating, finding it easy to cheat, willingness to get grade point averages, and worries about jobs. Besides, this study also develops a conceptual framework for the COVID-19 e-cheating model that explains how COVID-19, stress, and anxiety predict the frequency of dishonest behaviors among students, specifically cheating during online exams, and can be used for further qualitative research studies. Finally, the study results can be used as guidelines for faculty members when considering assignments, homework, exams, and how to monitor online exams.

Yousif Abdelrahim Copyright (c) 2024 2024-11-07 2024-11-07 60 1 111 125 ADOPTING HR ANALYTICS FOR EMPLOYEE RETENTION: INSIGHTS AND STRATEGIES https://jsju.net/index.php/journal/article/view/29
The workplace dynamics are changing quickly so for this reason employee retention has
become the top goal for organizational success.
